It remains to be seen when Le’Veon Bell will report to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In fact, it’s possible that not even Bell knows the answer to that.

“I don’t know that Le’Veon’s agent knows what’s going on with Le’Veon,” Steelers reporter Dale Lolley said on After Hours with Amy Lawrence. “I think this was a decision that Le’Veon made very irrationally. I don’t think he necessarily thought this through the whole way. I really think what happened is he saw the Odell Beckham contract and he saw the guaranteed money with Khalil Mack and Aaron Donald and he said, ‘You know what? I’m not going to show up.’ Because I think he had every intention of doing what he did last year until he saw those contracts signed.”

But then Bell missed Week 1, and it appears he’ll miss Week 2. Bell’s offensive linemen were not happy last week – and told the media exactly that.

Lolley wasn’t surprised by their reaction.

“No, not really,” he said. “I think they kind of felt a little betrayed by that. The starting five had attended every one of the OTA sessions, had attended all the mini-camps and didn’t sit out any days of training camp. They felt like they had supported him in the past when he had done that in previous years, they supported him this year throughout the offseason, and he had been telling guys via text or when they talked to him that he was going to do what he did last year. And so they assumed that meant he was going to show up for the first week – and when he didn’t, I think they felt kind of betrayed.”

The Steelers (0-0-1) host the Chiefs (1-0) this Sunday. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
