Jon Marks doesn’t know when or how it will happen, but Bryan Colangelo is finished in Philadelphia.

“There’s no walking this back,” Philadelphia's “Marks and Reese” co-host said on Taz & The Moose. “Yesterday, Colangelo came out and he said that someone is out to get him, it’s a conspiracy, that there’s somebody behind this – which is ridiculous. The circumstantial evidence is not overwhelming, but people probably have ben convicted with less evidence.”

Colangelo, of course, has been linked to Twitter accounts criticizing players and personnel around the league, including his own. Colangelo’s wife, Barbara Bottini, has been linked to the accounts as well.

“It’s just a matter of not if, but when,” Marks said of Colangelo’s impending exit. “I don’t know if it’s going to be today. I don’t know if Colangelo is going to resign before it all happens. But even if he didn’t know and his wife – or somebody in his camp – had these burner accounts and it’s impossible to involve him to where he knew about it, the things that were still said on Twitter, the leaks of information that were put out there, you can’t walk it back.”

The accounts featured disparaging remarks about Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, and Jahlil Okafor, among others.

“For any player on that team or for players around the NBA, it’s done,” Marks said. “He’s done. The toothpaste is out of the tube. It’s just a matter of how messy it gets between now and when he’s actually out of here.”
