Hard Knocks Star Devon Cajuste: Cleveland Browns Will Make Playoffs

Hard Knocks star Devon Cajuste believes the Browns will, "at minimum," reach the postseason

November 01, 2018 - 5:45 pm

Devon Cajuste dropped by The Zach Gelb Show to discuss numerous topics, including Hard Knocks, his father, and the Cleveland Browns.

Cajuste, a former Stanford standout, believes the Browns will make the playoffs.

“At minimum, playoffs,” Cajuste said. “Minimum.”

Cajuste, 25, went undrafted in 2016. He fell just short in his bid to make the Browns’ 53-man roster this season.

“I just have a lot of faith in the team,” he said. “Those guys are a really good group of guys, and they really do fight for each other. A lot of them seem as if they’ve proved a lot of people wrong almost their whole life or they’ve been fighting for that. So here’s just another opportunity to again shock the world and make a huge difference for the town.”

Cajuste was asked specifically about Browns coach Hue Jackson.

“He’s a great guy,” Cajuste said. “Really headstrong in terms of creating a tough mentality, and I respect that. Coming from my dad, who’s a Marine, he really instills that tough mentality. I think he really knows what he’s doing. I’ve been proud to play for him.”

The Browns, who tied Pittsburgh 21-21 in Week 1, will face the Saints (0-1) in New Orleans this Sunday. Kickoff is at 1 p.m ET.
