Apple Valley Sun Devils Over Silverado Hawks, 52-42

Friday Nights Lights shine brightly in the Hawks nest of Silverado High school.

The Apple Valley Sun Devils overtook the Silverado Hawks 52-42 Friday night (August 17).

The two teams battled late and the Sun Devils racked up 565-yards to the Hawks 312-yards of offense.

Neither team had the edge as both caused and recovered fumbles and caught interceptions.

The Hawks tried to catch the Sun Devils by recovering a fumble for a touchdown, but the Sun Devils wouldn’t have it. They recovered before going on to score late in the game.

The flags were flying as Apple Valley had 97 penalties and Silverado had 60.

The Sun Devils scored an 84-yard touchdown and the Hawks answered back a few seconds later with their own 79-yard touchdown.

The Sun Devils out flew and outran the Hawks and narrowly escaped with the victory.
